We are looking for an engineering manager with coding experience, who wants to lead in building and growing a stellar engineering organisation. He will work complimentary to CTO (as lead architect) and focus on providing the organisational structure, skillsets and resources to achieve our IT strategy.
That means:
- Coaching junior to mid level engineers to provide steep personal and professional development.
- Managing a squad of engineers with empathy, strong feedback culture, and setting clear and measurable objectives.
- Assuring reliability to stakeholders thanks to clear project management, seamless process flows and quality at work.
- Scaling our engineering team as lead responsible person – we value diversity, but a strong sense for team culture.
- Building a Monite brand – we have the talents and ideas, your job is to empower them and to give visibility.
Some info on what team work with:
- Technical stack: Python 3.9 (FastAPI) , PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Redis, MongoDB.
- Code collaboration: GitHub, GitHubAction.
- Project management and knowledge: JIRA, Notion.
- Communication: Slack, Zoom.
What do we expect from you?
- You have 2+ years of coding experience and managed a team for 3+ years, best case in B2B SaaS or API environmen.
- You are a leader by example.
- You apply a cultural approach align with our CTO and teams on our virtues.
- You manage and lead with empathy and transparency, you create owners.
- You have hired devs before and you what is required to hire and manage A players.
- You have experience and passion for organisational structure and processes.
- You work hands on, you can code for a temporary time if required.
- You continuously maintain and improve quality across the stack. We reflect to have a zero bug policy. You know how to maintain a large codebase with best practices like tests, monitoring or logging.
- You're great in communication and speak English fluently.
