A global online luxury marketplace is looking for Lead Ruby developer.
You will be responsible for leading service Back-end development (working on a completely new projects and starting a new ones). They're offering a modern technology stack (ansible, AWS, one-click-deploy) and a freedom in selection of JS stack. Also, the company made a decision to move to micro-service architecture and you'll be one of the key people in implementing that.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on development of user-facing applications, both internal and external users.
- Making and architecture decision, improving performance of existing application.
- Participate in product planning and product decision.
- Hire and train a junior members of the team.
- Helping to set up a good DevOps practices.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of server-side Ruby (RoR).
- Excellent knowledge of modern Front-end technologies (React or Angular) and surrounding tech stack.
- Written English, you should be able to express yourself well and create a good documentation/design docs.
- Experience in business communication (explaining tech issues to non-tech people in a clear way).
- Basic Linux/DevOps experience (such as working with ansible) is a plus.
- Experience in performance optimization.
- Good understanding of relational database principles (the company uses Postgress).
